John Lee Hooker’s reputation as one of the all time great bluesmen is acknowledged around the world. This remarkable programme, compiled in collaboration with the John Lee Hooker estate, features vintage Hooker performances, both solo and in collaboration with some of his many admirers. Also featured are vintage interview clips with John Lee Hooker.
The tracks are all complete performances and among the guests are Van Morrison, Eric Clapton and the Rolling Stones, Bonnie Raitt, Ry Cooder and Carlos Santana. A host of Hooker classics are featured such as Crawlin’ Kingsnake, The Healer, Boogie Chillen’, It Serves Me Right To Suffer and Boom Boom.
