Charel, an American author, goes on holiday with her husband and young son, to an ancient villa. Soon, she realises that the ogre that haunted her childhood dreams is alive and lives in the basement of this very house. Her husband won’t believe her, until it kills their baby-sitter and kidnaps their son.
