Synopsis
A Taipei, trois meurtres mystérieux paniquent l’opinion et mobilisent la police. Personne ne sait s’il s’agit de l’oeuvre d’un habile tueur en série ou d’un esprit maléfique ? Lorsque les autorités désemparées demandent l’aide des spécialistes du FBI, c’est l’expert Kevin Richter qui débarque. Le détective Huang Huo-Tu, relégué au placard des affaires étrangères après avoir accusé un ancien collègue de corruption, se retrouve en première ligne. Ensemble, l’Américain et le Taiwanais vont mener l’enquête. L’esprit rationnel de l’un et les croyances de l’autre vont être mis à rude épreuve.
