Spencer (Jesse Bradford) moves to Los Angeles and takes a job in the mailroom of a large company, where he encounters Melora (Mia Kirshner), whom he has been in love with since elementary school. An aspiring writer, Melora is already involved in a relationship, so Spencer decides to be content to be her friend and hope that she will eventually come around. While he’s waiting, he moves in with two « film makers » who are actually shooting a porn film, giving him a series of strange adventures.
